101.5 Inches!!

Yeah!! The newest lines from The Paper Element have arrived!!!!!! This is Blue Flannel....the colors and designs are awesome! The stickers that come with this line are journal spots, which I love!! On this layout, I painted the snowflakes and then used a "snow writer" to add some snow to the snowflakes and photo. I also dry embossed on the Coordinations cardstock. Yes, that is Payton eating a big icicle!!

All Smiles / Amigos ....AdornIt Contest

I won a contest by AdornIt/Carolee's Creations!!! The contest is to use 90% AdornIt products in your creation. The contest is running for the next few weeks, so you can win too!!

Here are my layouts that I submitted for the contest. They use AdornIt papers, stamp sets, ribbon, and sticker paper. I used my Cricut to cut the titles with the sticker paper. Don't recognize those fonts for the Cricut?? That's becuase I used my new SCAL software and a free font that I downloaded from the internet. Endless possibilities!

This layout from the Nov. Coconut ScrapShop kit shows off the fun Thickers letters, felt birds, fuzzy ric rak, paper flowers, and journalling cards that come with the kit. I also love the little spot on this paper that is just the right size to write the date in.

Spread Your Wings And Fly

This layout shows off the fun papers in the Coconut ScrapShop's November kit. I had some fun with it....did some gold embossing on the cardstock with stamped flourishes and stamping on the paper. I twirled the ribbon for some extra texture.

Don't you just love the fun Tim Holtz key that comes with the November Coconut ScrapShop kit? The paper is great - lots of little hidden places that are perfect to put the date or small amount of journalling. I used my fun Stampin Up stamps and coordinating punch for the flower accents.

Dare to Dream

I used Pencillines sketch 111 for this layout using the November kit from Coconut ScrapShop. The Autumn Leaves Urban Junque collection goes so well with my photos of Payton at Olbrich Garden's Bloomin' Butterflies exhibit. The journalling block is from a new acrylic stamp that's been added to my collection!!

Simply Fabulous....The Paper Element Challenge!!

This week (Nov 15-22) is my week to host a challenge over at The Paper Element!! My challenge is to create a layout with a unique border around the photo. In my example, I used a bead of Stickles about .25" in from the outside of the photo.

To play along with this challenge (and a chance at a great prize!!), just create a layout using the above criteria and link it to The Paper Element's blog. Layouts are due at the end of the month, and you do not need to use paper from The Paper Element. I can't wait to see what you create!!

Recycled Cards!!!

What do you do with all the handmade cards you receive from other papercrafters? I saved all of mine up this year so that I could recycle them. I just cut off the back of the card (the part with the writing) and attached the beautiful card front to a new scored piece of cardstock. Voila! I have 75 new cards ready to donate to Ronald McDonald House, Cards for Troops, and for personal use!!
