Love LO
This is a bad photo of this layout - it looks like the lines are crooked, but they are not...I must have had the camera at a weird angle or something. Anyways, here's another photo of Payton and Great Grandma. I kept it simple, using the really pretty Toria line from the Paper Element. The rub-ons are Stampin Up.

These are photos of Payton and Great Grandma. The paper is the Toria line from The Paper Element. I love the Imaginesce metal accents. The dried leaves are also an embellie that I've never used before....

Scotland 2004 LO
Yup, more green layouts...ha ha. I really like the Paper Element stickers that have just the right sayings on them for virtually every photo I have. They are also great to use as a title when you don't know what you should title a layout.

Grow LO
These photos are from the botanical gardens in Edinburgh, Scotland. The lilly pads in the bottom photo were literally 6-7' across (look at them in relation to the doors in the background)
The papers, rub-ons, and stickers are from The Paper Element!

Run & Fun LO
I used The Paper Element's Green Apple line for this layout. The line is color coordinated to create some great monochromatic green layouts! The sticker and rub-on is also from The Paper Element.

Writing Practice LO
The Sept. kit from the Coconut ScrapShop is so versitle! I had fun using my Tim Holtz inks on the clear album page. The kit comes with an Adornit sticker sheet for journalling. I just used the full sheet, but it also works great in the Cricut!

Make Your Own Flower Tutorial
Now whenever you need a flower accent to match your layout or card, all you have to do is follow this tutorial and create your own!! I learned how to do make these flowers as a kid when my mom taught me. This method works great on fabric or paper.
Here's a layout that I did featuring this technique.
Supplies: You will need a small tear drop shaped piece of wood (experiment using other shapes of wood for other types of flower petals!), some floral wire, glue, and paper.
Step 1: Cut the floral wire in half and wrap it around the piece of wood.
Step 2: Once snug around the wood, twist the ends of the wire together.
Step 3: Carefuly slide the shaped wire off the wood.
Step 4: Put a ribbon of glue around the parimeter of the wire. This can be fabric glue or acid free UHU glue works good.
Step 5: Press the wire glue side down onto the paper or fabric. Repeat 5 times for 5 flower petals.
Step 6: After glue is dry, cut out each petal.

Step 7: Put 2 petals facing one way and 3 petals facing the other way together.

Step 8: Gather them together and give their collective "stem" a twist to keep them all together.

Finally, fan out the petals as desired. Add a pom pom or rhinestone in the center for an added touch.
Thanks for joining me on my tutorial! I would love to see your creations you make using this technique!!

Beach Bum LO
Isn't the Sept. kit from the Coconut ScrapShop just fabulous?? The Mollie and Mac paper is made from recycled paper using soy based ink (it's also acid free of course). How cool is that?? I highly recommend gettting the add-on kit for this month....it's only $5 and comes with some beautiful papers. I am kicking myself that I forgot to order it!

Picture Perfect LO
Here's another one from the Sept. kit at Coconut ScrapShop! I stamped paisleys on the clear album page. The letters that come with the kit match perfectly. There's also plenty of journalling spots that come with the kit.

Buried (in sand) LO
The September kit from the Coconut ScrapShop is here!! It features paper from Mollie & Mac - a company that I've never worked with before. Also included is a Maya Road clear album and sheer ribbon!! The crystals and journalling spots top off this wonderful kit!
I tried something different with my kit. Instead of making a clear album, I decided to incorporate the album pages into my layouts. I think it adds a neat touch.
Do you see the flourishes? I cut them using some new software for my Cricut. It's called Sure Cuts A Lot. The software allows you to cut ANY true type font and dingbat shape!! This literally gives you thousands and thousands of fonts and shapes that you can cut for only $75!! I absolutely love it! It works on any Cricut machine (I actually have one of the older machines and it works great).
