I love this photo of Payton looking out into the ocean. The photo corner is made out of flower shaped glitter. The papers and embellishments are Cloud 9.

Nature LO

Here's one last layout made with the May kit from Coconut ScrapShop. I always like to use up my scraps from the kit, so this layout helped me do just that. The photo is of me in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Back from vacation with great news!!

VACATION:
We got back from Jamaica early yesterday morning. In all, we encountered about 6.5 hours of delays so we traveled all night long. Not much fun to do with a 3 year old, but she did really well. The trip was lots of fun....Payton learned how to swim!! She was swimming from one side of the pool to the other without any help! We are so proud!! We also took her snorkeling - she did a really good job with it. I've got loads of photos too!!

DESIGN TEAM:
I have some awesome news to share....I got back from vacation to learn that I am going to be on The Paper Element's original design team!!! I'm very excited to be part of this manufacturer's DT, as they have some awesome papers, stickers, and rub-ons in their collections. Here's a link to the site: http://www.thepaperelement.com/. I also recently sent in six layouts for consideration at scrapbooking.com magazine and I just found out that they want to publish all six of them in the July issue!!! I'm so excited!

Wet -n- Wild LO

I used a TLC kit for this layout. I thought Wet -n- Wild was a good title, as that is what Payton was at the time of the photo!

A Visit to the Dentist LO

Yup, I brought the camera with me to Payton's first Dentist appointment!! She did such a good job sitting still! And no cavities to report!! The Dentist did comment about her pacifier habit, which we've been trying (with no success) to get rid of. Anyone have any advice for discontinuing pacifer use?

Flipper Fun LO

We are headed on a vacation to Jamaica on Friday!!! In the meantime, I have some layouts scheduled to post on my blog...I've never scheduled them before, so let's hope it works!!

I love the Jenni Bowlin papers that I used on this layout. Also used the Adorn-it sticker paper for the title. The big swooshes are from an Autumn Leaves stamp set and highlighted with Stickles.

This was our Christmas card for 2007. I used the Love, Elsie Noel paper for this layout. I love the funky, nontraditional look!

Pretty Birds LO

This layout was made with the Coconut ScrapShop's May kit using the Office Lingo line of paper. I painted the grungeboard and then put pearlizing paint on top for added sparkle. The photos were taken in the Dominican Republic.

This weekend is my Take Steps For Crohn's and Colitis Walk!!! As many of you know, I have suffered from Crohn's Disease for 11 years. I have been in remission for a year and am dreading the day that it comes back. Crohn's is an inflammatory bowel disease with no known cause or cure. Symptoms include severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss, and fatigue. I had surgery in 2006 to remove my appendix, several inches of my small intestine, and to repair holes in my large intestine.

I am 3/4 of the way to reaching my $1000 goal for the walk!!! I want to thank everyone that has donated to this wonderful cause - I really appreciate it!!

Dominican Republic Diva - Coconut ScrapShop May kit

I used the sketch featured on the Pink Paislee blog for this layout. The Pink Paislee paper and die cut goes so well with Payton's swimsuit! Look closely at the vertical and horizontal lines...I have tiny pearls scattered about. I used the Tim Holtz grungeboard by inking it with alcohol inks and then applying crackle paint. The result looks just like leather!

What a Ham LO - Coconut ScrapShop May Kit

Coconut ScrapShop's May kit is here and it is wonderful!!! It features the Office Lingo line of papers from Pink Pasilee. There is a ton of stuff included with this one....I will easily make 7-8 layouts with this kit!! Look at the cute wooden scrolls that come with it!!

Swimming With The Fishes LO - Coconut ScrapShop May Kit

These are photos of me swimming with the dolphins in Punta Cana. I painted and put crackle paint on the grungeboad word "swimming" for a neat look. The word "Fishes" are puffy stickers that came with the kit. I haven't seen puffy stickers since 5th grade!! How fun! Click on the photo to see the detail.

Yup, I'm finally getting to my Halloween photos from last year!! The border is a die cut from the Office Lingo collection. The skulls and crossbones are Tim Holtz grungeboard. I love the grungeboard because I can color it whatever color I want and it is so easy to use!
