tagged, bumper tagged x2, and rockin girl blogger x2

Boy, I have to keep up with you all! I got tagged a few weeks ago and forgot to post my 7 random things about me. I'm running out of things to say, so here ya go:

1. I love general tso's chicken and egg rolls
2. The only alcohol I drink is an occasional white zinfendel wine
3. I like to paint my toenails a bright color with white polka dots
4. I used to sell (make that TRY to sell) Mary Kay cosmetics. Did it for 6 years and lost a lot of money on it because I would give my stuff away.
5. I've always wanted to learn how to do a backflip but I've never done one
6. I was a cheerleader in high school
7. I love comedy movies. My favorite is Office Space.

And, I've been nominated for Rockin' Girl Blogger by Kimberly of Crafty Me and Lois of Paper Crafting Fun. Thanks ladies for nomiating me, I am honored! I'm supposed to nominate others for this, but it's hard finding people that haven't gotten it yet. So if you haven't let me know, and I will nominate you!

Finally, I've been bumper card tagged by Corie and Lee.

Read Geeta's blog to understand how this works. It's like a Pay It Forward. Originally you were supposed to send a homemade card. But I think it would be neat to include a goody in the card. It's up to you though.
I need to send 5 RAKs to family, friends, or fellow bloggers and ask others to do the same. Then you are to tag 5 others.

Here are my nominees:

1. Beth from A Stampin Good Time
2. Kimberly of Crafty Me
3. Jessica from Smiling Makes Me Happy
4. Cass of Crafty Cass
5. Lois of Paper Crafting Fun

Letter stickers

You can use up all those leftover letter stickers and make a background on cardstock. These are photos of me moving into college for my freshman year....in 1993. Just a few days later, I met my hubby for the first time.

SU The Snowflake Spot

Sorry for the poor photo quality. My camera doesn't take good photos at night. (Though my hubby would say it is user error). This is a SU set that I thought was going to be retired but it wasn't.

Black flower card challenge

I thought this card turned out well. I was going to make it a 40th birthday card, but I liked it as-is.

LO using photo strips

Ok, I'm almost too embarrassed to post this layout. I used to be an avid WCW fan. That's fine, you can laugh at me, it was before I had a cool hobby like scrapbooking! Anyways, I was challenged to do a layout using photo strips. These were the only photos I had that I thought would look good as strips.

Congratulations to Jessica! She said:
I would love to win this blog candy because I don't have any clear stamps at all! Thanks for the chance to win!

The second one I picked out by the comments that were left based on NEED. Congratulations to Connie Gage! I will be putting together a bunch of scrapbooking goodies for your daughter.

Connie Gage said...
This type of blog candy is always so nice. I love the clear stamps, these are really neat. If I should win I'd give them to a daughter who cannot afford much at all.

So Jessica, please email me your address. And Connie, please email me either your address or your daughter's address and I'll get these in the mail this week!

Thanks everyone!
Cheryl

Inspired by....my shower curtain!!

This layout was inspired by my 9 year old shower curtain!

Photo inside of a Photo LO

My little basket

I made this basket off the tutorial from Mad Stamper. For some reason it was really hard to photograph. For embellishments, I put on a shovel charm and a transparency circle with vellum seashell stickers on it.

Pool Drinks and UHU Revie

More Ocho Rios photos from 2004....I used a sketch from here. She has some really awesome sketches on her blog.UHU Review:
I received a sample of UHU Creativ and I've used it on several projects. I have used it on scrapbook pages, cards, and altered items. In my opinion, it works the best on altered items. I loved how well it adhered paper, chipboard, or flowers to a sturdy surface such as chipboard or metal. The glue is a bit too wet to use on scrapbook pages, as it curls the paper. (I don't think it is meant for scrapbook pages though). It is good at adhering ribbon (although it seeps through sheer ribbon). I am almost out of my sample, and I would definately get it again.

Easter Egg Hunt

Photos of Payton during the community Easter Egg Hunt.

Ad inspired

This LO is inspired by a Kodak ad.

Lots 'o die cuts

I love die cuts but I rarely use them anymore. This is an entire scene made out of die cuts!

Fairies and Flowers LO

Payton at 1 year. I just love the wings that she got to wear!

Orchid LO

These are orchids growing in Mexico!

My Little Flower LO

I made this Chipboard Daisy myself! I've never done that before. I just had a vision of a huge flower and I've never seen any chipboard like this in stores before.

Mexican Siesta

This lo has 3 patterned papers, 4 pieces of chipboard(the word "family" is a separate piece from the frame), a title on a curve, and some doodling with a white pen to make a photo corner.

Heritage LO

OK, I've never done a heritage LO before. So I tried to do a sepia photo with some aged browns.

Enjoy the Journey LO

This photo is from Edinburgh Scotland. Even though I went there on a business trip, I still got to enjoy the journey by doing some sight seeing.

Bake your Buns LO

Another photo of Payton in Mexico.

Montego Bay LO

For this challenge I had to have 1 photo, 2 words in the title, 3 types of ink in journalling, and 4 different ribbons. You can't see the journalling very well, but I assure you that there are 3 colors there.

Bay Beach LO

Payton's first trip to the amusement park was on July 3. She had a blast!

Loose Weaving LO

I haven't weaved in probably 24 years! So here is my first layout with a loose weaving style.

Barb's Color Challenge + Jen's Sketch Challenge

I combined Barb's Color Challenge with Jen's Sketch Challenge. Barb wanted us to use: rose red, certainly celery, and bashful blue.

Heather's challenge

Heather had a sketch challenge along with a color challenge. I don't have many SU colors here, so I used a combo of the old In-colors: Buckaroo Blue, True Thyme, Marigold Morning, and Cranberry Crisp.

Lounging

Some of the last photos from Mexico...

Scrappers at SG challenge

The challenge for this one was to have polka dots, ricrac (all I had was pink), buttons, a circle at least 1" (mine is under the flower on the charm), use a decorative scissors, and a quote.
