Jen's inspiration + Beate's Sketch

I used Beate's sketch and Jen's clothing inspiration for this card. I have a photo of the card close up and then one of the card on my shirt. I must admit, when I went to my closet to pick out something, I didn't realize that I had so many soild color shirts! I really only had 3 shirts that had a design on them to choose from! Yikes, time to go shopping!

My hardest layout ever!

This has to be the hardest layout I've ever done. I know it doesn't look like much, but to get all the angles cut just right took a lot of thought and calculation. Seriously, I had to use geometry to get this layout done!

Payton looked like a Cherub when she was about 6 months old, so I had to make this layout of her. I made the "ribbon" with a circle punch, and only punching a bit of the paper at a time. Then I pieced all the pieces together to create a ribbon. The small scalloped frame was white cardstock that I cut with a decorative edge scissors and then embossed with gold powder. I also embossed the edges of the cherub definition. The flower embellishment was made my embossing several times and putting a rubber stamp in it while it is still molten.

Here Kitty Kitty

Belle needed a scrapbook page dedicated to her. I used the SU kitty stamps - I love how the one stamp of the cat looking in the fishbowl is so similar to Belle looking in the fishbowl!

Payton's Height Chart

I've been working on a 5' long Hello Kitty height chart for Payton's room. Here is a photo of a section of it. I went back and recorded her heights at various ages and put a small photo of her at that age next to it. Now I just need to hang it up in her room. By the way, her room is decorated in Hello Kitty too!

Happy 3rd Birthday

My daughter will be attending some birthdays soon! So here is a Happy 3rd birthday card using the yummy scallop punchies and a painted chipboard #3.

My first hidden journalling

I received the matchbook on this page from a swap. I didn't need to do hidden journalling on this page, but it was neat to use the matchbook!

Card using Kerry's Sketch

I was excited to see a sketch in which I could actually use my hummingbird and orchid stamp again! I embossed the light purple paper behind the stamped image. I rarely emboss anymore - I need to do it more often.

Jen's Sketch Challenge #3

Jen's sketch challenge this week was a tag. I made and threw out 3 tags before I got to this one! (Sad, I know!) Either the colors weren't right or the stamp wasn't right....But this is the first time I've used this stamp set - Stampin Up's Good Things Grow. I think it is a great stamp set, but I don't know what to do with it. If any of you have suggestions on what to do with that stamp set, please let me know!!

Painted paper

This started out as white cardstock. I used watercolors to paint it blue, then when it was dry, I used a brush that had some bristles missing to paint purple waves in the background.

Payton at 3.5 Months

I used my office supply scrapbooking items to make this page. I really wanted to have a memo that said "put a coversheet on your TPS report." (That's from Office Space, my favorite movie!)

Bellas, Bellas, Everywhere!!

Tracy of Tracy's Happy Place was so kind and sent me some Bella images because I don't have any. I was so excited that I dropped what I was doing and made 6 cards! They were so much fun to make!

Hairstyle Quiz

I want to get my hair cut shorter again. I usually donate my hair when I have over 10," but I am getting tired of waiting for it to get that long again. I kinda like this style that was chosen for me. Try it out!

Payton's Mexican Fiesta

This is a LO from my daughter's 2nd birhtday, where we had a Mexican Fiesta in a Wisconsin winter!

All About Me

This is my first page in an "all about me" scrapbook. I've never scrapped about myself. In fact, it was so hard to find a photo of just me, that I had to crop out my husband in our engagement photo! This is an 8x8 scrapbook, which I've also never done before. Should be fun!
