Storytime LO

I'm not used to doing only 1 page layouts. I find that it doesn't flow as nice in an album as the 2 page layouts do. But what do you do when you can tell your story and put the photos all on 1 page? Perhaps I'll find some unrelated photos and make a coordinating page for the other side.

My Hello Kitty Purse

Click on the photo to read the journaling if you are interested. The clip on the purse photo is from when I was 6 years old. I made a shrinky dink charm that hangs off the "H" and I made my own Hello Kitty paperclip embellishemnt with vellum and glitter. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Target $1 Stuff!

I am so excited - today I went to Target and saw that they have $1 scrapbooking items!! It is so cool because everything coordinates. They've got paper, die cuts, charms, rubber stamps, ribbon, scrapbook kits...all for $1! That rocks! In my opinion, this is the next best thing to Michael's dollar stamps. When I got home, I tore open my packages and began scrapping. I made these two layouts all with my Target items!

Scrap Paper Frame

This is a good way to use up those scrap pieces of paper that you have laying around. I just made up a template, traced it on the scraps, cut them out and put them in a circle.

Father's Day Photo Contest

This is my submission for the Father's Day Photo Contest on Finding Joy in the Morning. It is of my husband just minutes after our daughter was born. When she was born, she could not breathe on her own for 15 mintues. Several doctors and nurses worked hard to revive her. Once she was breathing, her body temperature was quite low, so Jason "kangarooed" her in his sweatshirt to warm her up.

Scrapbook page from a sketch

This page is from a sketch on SCS. I've been waiting to scrap those photos of my daughter from when she was 6 months old, and this seemed like a good way to do it.

Accordian File

This is an accordian file that I made from a tutorial on Maria's site. She has some of the best tutorials I've ever seen. I'll totally be doing more of them in the future!

Father's Day Card

This is a Father's Day card for my Dad. He likes to fish. Inside it reads, "Early to bed, early to rise, fish all day, and make up lies!" He'll get a kick out of that.

Magazine inspired card

A card

I made a card today. I don't do cards too often, but I'm starting to do more and more. So here's a card made by a scrapbooker.

The "Perfect" Picture

I did this layout today. It outlines our humerous struggles with getting our yearly Holiday photo taken. Our cat, Belle, kept trying to jump off our laps and Payton didn't want to sit long to take a photo.

"My Stamping Grounds" Challenge

This is a cute box that I made for the challenge that is going on at "My Stamping Grounds."

How I stay organized

Since we recently moved into a smaller home, I had to find interesting ways of keeping my scrapbooking and stamping stuff organized. So here is a peek into the closet of my craft/guest/computer room. It is a cheap pegboard with hangers and cut up wooden dowels. The best part is that it holds all of my stamp pads perfectly!!

For the few of you that visit my blog, I promised some more examples of my work, so here goes!

Layouts using stamping

I like to use stamping whenever I can in my layouts. Here are some examples of layouts that I did recently.

Here is another LO that I did from the Puerto Vallarta vacation in January. I need to finish up with those vacation photos soon, because we just got back from Montego Bay, Jamaica yesterday with loads of photos to scrap!!

Using Primas as Accents on Sandals

This is a photo for Linda. She wants to know how we use our primas. Here's an example of what I do...

Wow, I can't believe that you are all leaving comments on my blog already. I have to get myself in gear and get this thing up and running! Thanks for all the sweet comments. It's nice to have cyberfriends. And I can't believe that I've actually been tagged! Ok here goes:
1. I have a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's in Project Management, but I choose to be a SAHM.
2. I love cats
3. I am extremely frugal. I can go months without spending any money on myself except for groceries.
4. I've never been on a diet.
5. I love to garden and to can my own veggies
6. I hate driving
7. I have no tonsils and no appendix.
Now I have to tag some people.....I'll need to think about who hasn't been tagged yet. One for sure is CardcreationsbyMichelle. I'll be back with the others.
